Celebrating our staff for long service and excellence
The team at Maryborough District Health Service (MDHS) has celebrated another year of providing great healthcare at a staff celebration, with 40 team members recognised for long service and eight staff presented with excellence awards.
With around 500 staff across three campuses in Maryborough, Avoca and Dunolly, the healthcare provider is a leading employer in the region and also provides local training and development opportunities.
“We hosted a night of celebrations to thank our dedicated team for providing another amazing year of healthcare and service to our community.
“As part of the celebrations, we were so proud to acknowledge many people in our team who have worked with us for up to four decades,” said Nickola Allan, Chief Executive Officer at MDHS.
“It shows incredible commitment and resilience of individuals to be dedicated to a single organisation with purpose over many years.
“We all know what a difference receiving great care can make to someone in a single day. Imagine the difference that individual team members have made over the decades in their area of expertise.
“We were also delighted to present eight team members with a GREAT People Award to recognise those champions who consistently live up to our organisation’s values of Genuine, Respect, Excellence, Accountability and Togetherness.
“We received more than 120 nominations from staff right across the organisation to recognise excellent work across all areas of service including building and maintenance, hotel and hospitality services, home support, corporate support services, nursing, midwifery, allied health and leadership.”
“The judging panel, including members of the Executive team and Board had the tough task of selecting winners, based on key criteria,” said Mrs Allan.
“We are so thankful to have such an engaged team who are willing to support each other and pat each other on the back for a job well done.
“Congratulations and thank you to all our team for your hard work and dedication to connect our community to GREAT care in the Central Goldfields, Pyrenees and beyond, this year and every year,” she said.
