Meet Peter, one of our GREAT People award winners.

With more than a decade of dedicated service at Maryborough District Health Service, Peter embodies our core values of Genuine Respect, Excellence, Accountability and Togetherness.

As a hospitality services assistant, Peter transports of patients around the facility and supporting hospitality and clinical services teams with many tasks.

Peter seamlessly transitions from hospitality roles to supporting supply chain, making him the go-to person who ensures every aspect of operations runs smoothly.

In his own words, “I’m like a rodeo clown behind the scenes, ensuring the welfare of patients and staff so that the show goes on without a hitch.”

While Peter’s journey at MDHS began in an unfamiliar environment, it has grown into a deeply fulfilling career.

Peter has been nominated for his unwavering dedication to making patients feel at ease. His commitment to patient care is truly commendable.

Peter’s ability to ease nerves and infuse positivity into every interaction has not gone unnoticed, earning him the appreciation of patients and colleagues alike.

Outside of his professional life, Peter is passionate about maintaining his health through mindful eating and exercise.

As a true lover of the outdoors, he enjoys activities like camping, fishing and painting scenic landscapes, which provide a refreshing balance to his busy life.

Through his hard work, authenticity and a genuine commitment to helping others, Peter is not just making a difference he is connecting our community to GREAT healthcare.
