MDHS thanks Rheola Charity Carnival for ongoing support
Maryborough District Health Service (MDHS) is extremely grateful for the continued support of the Rheola Charity Carnival Committee.
“The partnership now spans most of the event’s remarkable 152-year history and remains one of our most valued community relationships,’’ said Nickola Allan, CEO, MDHS.
Over the years, funds raised by the Rheola Charity Carnival have contributed to many projects. These include the refurbishment of facilities and purchase of essential equipment at Dunolly Residential Community. Improvements to the dining room enhancing the experience for Transition to Care Program patients and residents.
“The funds MDHS received through the Rheola Charity Carnival from 2023 to 2025 will be directed towards supporting the improvement of facilities and equipment at Dunolly.
“We are developing a salon-style space within the home to provide hairdressing and grooming services for residents. This will support the dignity, comfort and wellbeing of residents as part of their daily living experience.
These enhancements will contribute to better services and outcomes for the community, ensuring the space meets current and future needs,’’ said Ms Allan.
Today at Dunolly Residential Community, we acknowledged the generous donations from the Rheola Charity Carnival Committee, with President Matt Catto in attendance.
“The carnival has always been about bringing people together and giving back. Supporting Dunolly Residential Community is one of the most meaningful ways we can make a difference locally,” said Mr Catto.
“The Rheola Charity Carnival is not only a fun and important community event but also a vital fundraiser that directly contributes to the health and wellbeing of people across our region. We are incredibly thankful for the committee’s ongoing generosity.
“We congratulate the Rheola Committee on another successful carnival and look forward to the next chapter in this valued community partnership,” said Ms Allan.
Dunolly Residential Community is one three residential communities managed by Maryborough District Health Service. The five-star rated facility has 19 single rooms, surrounded by bushlands and beautiful gardens.
