Support MDHS’s Annual Fundraiser
The MDHS annual fundraiser is back on Thursday 23 April inviting golfers, lawn bowlers and community members to enjoy a fun-filled day while raising funds to strengthen the local health service.
This year, the event aims to raise $30,000 to fund vital healthcare services, special projects, scholarships and equipment for Maryborough District Health Service (MDHS).
Hosted in partnership with True Foods and Maryborough Golf Club, the event has raised more than $200,000 since 2014. The funds raised have directly benefited programs such as patient transport, breast cancer screening, aged care improvements, equipment and staff training.
“The event continues to play an important role in strengthening healthcare across the region.
“The MDHS annual fundraiser brings people together for a fun and relaxed day while supporting something that touches every member of our community.
“Funds raised help us invest in vital services, our workforce and modern equipment to meet the growing needs of our region,” said Acting CEO Debbie Rogers.
“Funds raised through our 2025 fundraiser were invested directly into advancing pediatric services, creating meaningful scholarship opportunities that will strengthen care for our community for years to come like expanding women’s health programs and supporting future-focused clinical innovation,” said Acting CEO Debbie Rogers.
Following its successful introduction in 2025, the Lawn Bowls Challenge will return this year, providing another opportunity for more community members to get involved.
“Lawn Bowls provides a more accessible and inclusive option for community members who may not play golf but still want to support local healthcare.
“We want to deepen community engagement and create a more social, family-friendly fundraising experience,” said Bonaventure Tai, General Manager, Maryborough Golf Club.
Long-standing partner True Foods has supported the Charity Golf Day since its inception, playing a key role in its ongoing success.
“Many of our employees and their families rely on local health services, so supporting MDHS is something we genuinely care about. Supporting MDHS reflects the company’s strong ties to the Maryborough community.
“We are proud to support MDHS alongside our suppliers and business partners, who generously back this event year after year.
“By getting involved, we can collectively support the services that matter most to our region,” said Mark Thurlow Co-owner and Director Tue foods.
