Update on Avoca Residential Community due to fire risk
Due to the current bushfire situation in the Pyrenees region, Maryborough District Health Service has temporarily closed facilities at the Avoca Residential Community and our primary care clinic.
On Thursday night we made the decision to relocate all aged care residents to our hospital and aged care facilities in Maryborough and Dunolly as a precautionary measure to maintain their safety and wellbeing.
Our residents are safe and well, and nominated families and carers have been notified.
We are continuing to monitor weather conditions and take advice from emergency services.
We will keep you informed of plans to re-open the facility.
In the meantime, please contact our team at Maryborough on 03 5461 0333 if you have any queries.
Please continue to monitor conditions and stay informed on the bushfire situation via the VicEmergency app or at www.emergency.vic.gov.au
