Update on Maryborough Hospital redevelopment
The new Maryborough and District Hospital is now open. All patient services have moved to the new site on the corner of Clarendon and Neill Streets.
Opening hours
- Office: 8.30 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday
- Café: 8.00 am to 3.00 pm, Monday to Friday
- Visiting hours: 8.00 am to 8.00 pm, daily
- Urgent Care Centre: 24/7
Entrances
- Main: Clarendon Street – stairs to ground level and lifts.
- Accessible: Neill Street – direct access to urgent care, medical imaging, lifts and patient drop-off/pick-up.
Upcoming works
The old hospital entrance is now closed as final works begin. While fencing is up, access to Dorevitch Pathology remains open. However, please use the footpath on the other side of Clarendon Street.
This phase of work will improve access to the main entrance with a large turning circle, pedestrian ramp and accessible parking.
It will remove the old Urgent Care Centre and nearby buildings to reveal the original 1860s hospital façade and add native landscaping.
The heritage building will continue to be used for staff offices, administration and support services.
